Moo! The Musings of a Plaid Cow

We leave for Kentucky tomorrow morning (on a 6am flight) for a week-long holiday. Perhaps I will find the time to finish all of the entries that I have started and never finished in the past month.

City hall closes at 4pm on Fridays. The good news is that I made it to city hall before 4pm. The bad news is that 4pm comes early at city hall. And as one employee told me, “especially on Fridays”.

After getting up this morning and checking my email, I leaned back in the chair at my desk to rest my eyes for a few minutes. Where I feel asleep and had a dream. About work. And in this dream I was at a meeting / training class and I couldn’t stay awake. To the point where co-workers grabbed me to keep me from falling over. Then somebody said my name in the dream and I woke up in my chair.

And now the nightmare: I still have to go to work.

On a recent trip to Alabama I realized that people around Huntsville seem to like vanity plates almost as much as people around here. SPD DIVA flew past me on the interstate. N2WOOD was wrapped around a tree. (Actually just on the way to Home Depot.) And B ANURSE was flying on the way to the hospital. The speed limit of 70 though down town was definitely interesting.
