In research for another blog entry I did some “research” on Google and did a search for ampersand (the single character). I found the top 5 results amusing:

  1. Barnes & Noble.com
  2. AT_&_T: The World’s Networking Company
  3. Food and Drug Administration Home Page
  4. United States Patent and Trademark Office Home Page
  5. MapQuest: Home

Which one of these just doesn’t seem to fit? What connection could I be missing?

    At the bottom of the page, there is an &. my guess is the because mapquest is popular (8/10 in page rank) and it is linked a lot, blah, blah that the & got picked up there. If you look now, it has gone down in the list to 7 or 8.
