I have a 200 KB MS Word document and insert a 800 KB MS Visio document into it, giving me an 8500 KB MS Word document. I’ll update this post if I ever find out what the other 7500 KB was needed for.

With all the [hubbub]( about the lack of Flash on the [iPhone](, I have to question why [Microsoft]( hasn’t been complaining that there isn’t a [Silverlight]( plug-in either. Flash and Silverlight target the same market, don’t they? If Adobe is right, shouldn’t we be hearing the same kind of rhetoric from Microsoft?

Microsoft Word has a way of making disk space magically disappear: 1. Start with an `89 KB` Word Document. 2. Insert an object, a `3675 KB` Visio Document. 3. End with a `22,380 KB` Word Document. Amazing!
