**Question: Do you think Chicago’s “gay-friendly” high school is a good idea?**

The creation of a “gay friendly” high school is an admission by the Chicago school board that they have been unable to create an atmosphere of tolerance throughout the rest of the school system. This will only perform a further disservice to the LGBT community and those that wish to ignore it. High school should be a time where you learn about the world and how to exist in it–not a place where everyone is segregated so we can end up with a bunch of 18 yr old kids who can’t deal with real life.
